March Favourites 2017

Hello everybody, I have been excited to write this post as march is one of my favourite months due it it being my birth month and also the fact we already on the 4th month of the year??!! But I have had a few new favourites this month, so of course I wanted to share them with you! Most of my favourites this month are items I picked up when I was in London, so even more the reason to share.

My first favourite of the month is a matte lipstick by MAC in the shade Whirl. I have wanted a dark nude for a while, after creating man pinterest boards with this shade in and seeing one of my friends wearing it actually. I finally decided to purchase this, from the MAC on Carnaby Street. I have mainly been wearing it when I go out rather than to school but I have been loving it, it makes a change to either my red lip or my nude lip.

Next is something I have been seeing so much on youtube and haven't been able to find in my local Urban Outfitter. When I went to London it was there, all laid out on the table - the Mario Badescu skin care range. Mum looked at me and went "go on, treat yourself!" which is exactly what I did, I got the Mario Badescu Facial Spray with aloe herbs and rosewater and I am obsessed with it!!! I have been watching Summer Mckeen's youtube videos with her talking about how much she loves it, how great it and how much she uses it and I agree with her so much. It was so worth the hype! I have been using it at least 3 or 4 times a day, after a moisturise in the morning and before my setting spray goes on, after I take my make up off and put moisturiser on. It is also great to spray once you have had a shower or work out. I have a feeling I may use this up before I next go to London so I may have to shop around online to find it.

Now onto my favourite film this month, and I haven't been to the cinema yet which is very sad as I wanted to see Logan and Beauty and the Beast but hopefully I will see them soon. In terms of films, my favourite this month has been Trolls, and I know what you are thinking? You're 18 and love trolls?? However it isn't just the movie, it's the actors and the soundtrack. I adore all of the actors in the movie and know all the words to every song off the soundtrack, mainly because it is such a happy and motivating soundtrack.

Next is a TV show and I was going to put in about the vampire diaries and how it ended on the 10th March, but I am not because if I start talking about it I may never shut up and I don't want to spoil it any way. Especially for my friends who I know still haven't watched season 7. Anyway, onto this months TV favourite and it is a show called Freaks and Geeks. Sadly there is only 1 season with 18 episodes in at 44 minutes each episode, so I did manage to watch it in a few days but I loved every second of it. It was from late 1999 to early 2000, which is old around 18 years old (same as me) but I loved all the actors in it. Some of the cast includes Sean Rogan, James Franco and Jason Segel. Putting them altogether in one cast was amazing, and they worked so well playing the characters and the story line was great! I wish they had done another season, but sadly not. The description on IMBD says "A high school mathlete starts hanging out with a group of burnouts while her brother navigates his freshman year."

Thank you so much for reading, hope you enjoyed this post! I am finally back into the swing of everything in my life (I think) so get ready for new posts either every Saturday or Sunday!

My Birthday Weekend | London 2017

Hello my lovelies, so slightly late on the post (again) however I have been away the past 2 weekends so haven't been able to get everything back on track. So by writing this I am getting somewhere, and can tick it off my wonderful list of things to do this week! Enough about my busy life onto the post, which is all about my 18th birthday weekend which was spent in London with my Mum from the 10th March to 12th March.

Mum and I headed down to London at about 4:30 on the Friday, 10th so we had a full day on the Saturday and Sunday as we headed home about 7:20 ish. The train journey down was quite long as it stopped at every station possible, so we watched Jurassic World on my laptop and ate many snacks. We arrived at St Pancras at around 7 ish, heading off to the tube where headed to Russel Square on the Piccadilly line.

We stayed in a lovely little hotel just near Russel square, but was technically on Tavistock Square.

All of the pictures in this post are taken on my phone, which is the iPhone 6s+ in case you wanted to know.

Saturday 11th March

The day started on Oxford street before heading to Carnaby Street where we did some shopping and headed to Choccywoccydoodah for some food!

Next was to Lush on Oxford Street and this was my birthday present from my God Mother, a gift voucher to spend in lush and someone took my round the store showing my different things, trying out bath bombs and telling me all about the products. It was honestly so much fun and I got some lovely new bath bombs, bubble bars and bath oils to try out! Which I think will be another post! The team also gave me one of their new products as a gift which was super lovely of them, and it is called Mother Earth and is the biggest bath bomb I have ever seen!

I picked up this wonderful spray at Urban Outfitters, as I finally found it after so many youtubers were raving about it for so long!! I have been using it so much since I got it and it is wonderful, I love it so so much.

The evening was spent at the theatre near Covent Garden, where we saw School of Rock which is one of my favourite movies!! It was amazing and I highly recommend it.

Sunday 12th March

Sunday consisted of very touristy activities and Covent garden, which was in walking distance of our hotel so that is where went first of all but ended up going back (again) later in the day as the shop I wanted didn't open till 12 and it was only 10. When we booked out hotel we got a free boat ride, so we took advantage of that and headed down the Thames all the way to Greenwich where we had Pizza Express.  I am not a big pizza lover so I had pasta, which was a Spinach and ricotta cannelloni and Mum had a Pizza which had spinach, caramelised onion and mozzarella on. Of course we had the dough balls for starter to share, you can't go there without having them!!

Thank you so much for reading this, sorry for the long images on the second day they were all from snapchat on the second day but looked great (well I think so). I hope you enjoyed this post! I love reading posts about people going to new and different places, can't wait for summer where I will be visiting Universities and hopefully travelling with my friends.

18 Things i Have Learnt in 18 Years

If you guys follow me on any form of Social Media or are my friends (in real life) then you will of course know on Thursday it was my birthday and finally, I am 18!! So I thought I would do a post that I have seen floating around on blogs i read along with some youtube channels, which is of course the '18 things I have learnt in 18 years'. Originally when I decided to do this back in December, I thought to myself that I would have no idea what to write about. But honestly they all came to me in the space of a few weeks, before my birthday. Some of these I have only learnt this year and some I have known for ages, as they have been things my mum has always said to me.

1. We all make mistakes but we need to learn from them. I have always been one of those people that makes mistakes but in recent years I have tried to actually learn from them, so I won't do them again. It is one of those things that is easier said than done, but if you put your mind to it good things will come out of it

2. It's normal to fall out with friends - people fall out, sometimes it for the good and sometimes it is not so good.

3. Change is good. As we grow up, we change. No don't worry I'm not giving you guys the whole talk of 'our bodies are changing'. But that aside, we do. We change as people, and it is good. Most of these 'lessons' I have learnt over the past few years and as much as I wish certain things didn't happen

4. Try your hardest, if you don't succeed the first time keep going.

5. Sometimes crying is good. I am such an emotional person, it is crazy how much I cry and not just because I am sad but because of tv shows and movies. Everything hits me so hard, and that is ok. Sometimes I need a cry, to cheer myself up almost. So what I do is, I watch an episode of The Vampire Diaries that i know will make me cry but it also cheers me up at the same time.

6. You won't know everything straight away, it takes time to learn things. When it comes to school/sixth form/college/university, it all takes time. You won't learn things right away, you will not come out of either a lesson or a lecture understanding everything you have been taught. If you are like me then you will probably have more questions than answers. However you have to take your time, go over things after the lessons do more research and if needs be go back and ask for me help. It doesn't hurt to ask for help, might be scary or seem stupid, but it will help!

7. If people don't make an effort with you then don't make it back, leave them alone and if they come running back just be wary. When people come running back to you after long periods of time you have to just think, "why are they doing this?" and think whether or not it is worth getting back into the relationship. Think of why they left in the first place and make up your mind from there. Are they really worth it? Sometimes the answer is yes, as you have both changed but other times it a no as you have changed but they are still the same person they were before and it isn't worth the effort.

8. Be yourself - don't follow tends unless it is something you actually like. Honestly I have always tried trends but never always succeed at doing so. I have learnt that you don't need to follow trends in order to be happy or for people to even like you, in fact. Sometimes the trends are something you hate or would never see yourself wearing. if that is the case then adapt it to your 'style'.  If people care for you then they will love you just the way you are, don't change for anyone.

9. Do what makes you happy! How typically of me to say this, but oh wow it is so true. If you enjoy it then do it, who cares what everyone thinks. For example I spend most of my time watching tv shows and movies and obsessing over them but it makes me happy and it doesn't effect anyone else? What I do in my own time isn't their business, it is mine.

10. Don't expect too much. If you expect things then when the outcome comes around and its not what you wanted you will get upset. So it is best not to set high expectation with certain things, because you will probably end up hurt and people won't understand why.

This post got pretty deep but I do hope you have enjoyed it! Thank you for reading!

Current TV and Music Favourites | 2017

As you guys know, music, tv shows and movies are some of my favourite things in the world. So I wanted to share them with you!

First is a TV show that is on BBC one, and has been a tv show I have watched from the beginning. Mum and I enjoy watching it together on catch up, as we always seem to miss it when it is actually shown on tv. This is Death in Paradise, it is all about an english detective living in 'paradise' whilst solving murders. The storylines are always great, none of the 'murders' are similar so it doesn't get boring with the same old thing each week. I do believe the first 4 season are on Netflix and the new season is on BBC iplayer if you want to go straight for this one, doesn't really matter if I'm honest as there is a new inspector now. If you want to know more about it head over to the IMBD page

Next is another new TV show and if you have Netflix then you will have seen it and if you don't well it has been advertised most days on my snapchat and I saw it one Facebook a lot before it officially came out. This is Riverdale, the new CW hit tv show! I am in need of a new tv show to obsess about now The Vampire Diaries ends next Friday and Teen Wolf and Pretty Little Liars both end in summer, so this is perfect!! So far the story line is brilliant and it is hard to wait a week for each episode, so far each episode have left me with so many questions.

"A subversive take on Archie and his friends, exploring small town life, the darkness and weirdness bubbling beneath Riverdale's wholesome facade" - Taken from Riverdale's IMBD page.

Now to music, two of my favourite artist both released new songs in the space of two days. The first is Alessia Cara's new single with Zedd, called Stay. I have been obsessed with Alessia Cara since the summer when I was in Spain and ordered her album so I could listen to it when I got home the following day! She has such a beautiful sound the song is just amazing.

Next, and finally, is Bea Miller's new singles. She is releasing a variety of different chapter's that represent different stages in her life and are different colours. First of all is chapter one: blue. This chapter includes the songs - song like you, burning bridges and i can't breathe. They are all such beautiful songs and have so much meaning behind them, I fell in love with them straight away.

So I hope you enjoy this post, thank you for reading and I will see you on either Saturday or Sunday for a new blog post!
